Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the best method of quickly cleaning up messes. The top robot vacuums and mops I test had superior mapping and navigation. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as tangled wires.
You can also schedule cleaning chores using an app and track their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're searching for the most effective robot vacuum and mop combo with cutting-edge features take a look at the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This premium vacuum is quick and agile, and it picked up pet hair and human dander almost flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It features a sleek and elegant app interface that comes with a miniature map of your home as well as buttons on the screen for manual control.
Another noteworthy feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode based on dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will wash its mopping pads more frequently if it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller comes with many other smart features, including docks that connects to the plumbing system in your home to clean and wash it without you needing to refill the mop. You can also use voice commands with the built-in voice assistant, saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular control options with your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-off robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities, the Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of many combinator robot vacuums that include mopping features that are also offered at a lower price than competitors.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves establishing an account with the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the machine will begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process may take some time and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has a good picture of your space. In addition the detection of objects can be difficult to determine It was able to get around furniture and other obstacles but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to turn it over to get free. But these are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a excellent choice for those who need an all-in-one cleaning companion.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubs. This means that floors are cleaned and not just cleaned. The detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that enables you to get into places that a robotic vacuum can't.
The model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and some additional clever features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home's surroundings and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. And the smart app lets you adjust a variety of settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum and the mop returning to their charging base after each task to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and then place the debris in the self-sealing bags. This helps keep the system clean and prevents allergens from returning to the system. Its battery life is sufficient to remove large areas without the need for an additional charge during cleaning.
- Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the expensive robot vacuum and mop models that are available, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It features an impressive 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and a great obstacle avoidance. It also boasts an innovative mopping system that uses a roller that is continuously doused with water to pull dirt and place it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps. However, it did struggle with fine engrained debris and was not always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also high, so this model may not be as easy to set and forget as other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking systems that allow it to refill its clean water tank, empty the dustbin and dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on regular schedules. You can control all of its functions through the Eufy app, which provides a clear overview and plenty of configuration options.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums available that are available. It offers impressive results in mopping and vacuuming. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision, and the application lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, define no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with smart carpet detectors, which lift the pads up when they are near soft surfaces in order to avoid contamination.
The docking station acts as an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station has an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of maintenance free operation.
- S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8 and this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my home office spotless and also tackle the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to create a map of your area and knows where not to go. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop), unlike many vacuums.
Other amazing features include a self-emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature, and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping that is found in the S8 and is able to distinguish between laminate and carpets with high-pile rugs. If you're looking to save time, it can skip mopping in rooms that aren't soiled. It's a great choice for those who have a variety of flooring in your home and aren't looking to spend the money to buy the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
- Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice to consider if you're looking for a versatile robot that can handle regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to messy water stains. It has a range of features, including a self emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings through the app. It is surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't pick up knotted rug tassels and its battery drains slightly quicker than other models we tested in our tests.
With a cost of less than $250 and less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly device that packs powerful suction and useful automation into a sleek design. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming however, it performed quite well. It also comes with a variety of cleaning modes to suit your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for lightweight debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' option for rooms with carpet. It can even automatically remove and reattach the mop pads without causing your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used even in small spaces. It's extremely silent and fast, and it can navigate tight spaces well. It also does a very nice job of getting pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than most of its rivals however it doesn't compromise features. It has a good amount of suction power and it is able to take a photo of each object it comes across (i.e. chew toys, or socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they aren't taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and aren't tied to your account.
It's great at vacuuming, but it's not so good in mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot, and it essentially drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
